NS Logistics
Privacy policy
How we handle the personal data you send us through this website, under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.
1. Who this notice covers
NS Logistics ("we", "us") collects personal data through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, who sees it and how long we keep it, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
It applies to the quick-quote form on the home page and to the client onboarding wizard. It does not cover the sites of any third party we link to.
2. What we collect
Quote requests: the cargo details you describe (such as an airway bill number, weight or pallet count), the delivery address or postal code, the WhatsApp number or email address you want the quote sent to, and any timing note you add.
Account applications: your company name and UEN, business type and website, the name, role, email and mobile number of your contact person, your service requirements, your delivery locations and their on-site contacts, your billing email and requested payment terms, and the documents you upload — your Letter of Authorization and, if you attach it, your ACRA BizFile extract.
We do not ask for payment card details anywhere on this website, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
3. Why we collect it
To quote for the movement you have described and to arrange it — including arranging collection, customs clearance through our appointed agent, and delivery.
To verify who we are dealing with before we collect cargo on your behalf, which is what the UEN and the Letter of Authorization are for.
To invoice you and to keep the records a transport and customs operation is required to keep.
To contact you about the request you sent us. We do not send marketing to the details submitted through these forms.
4. Who we share it with
Our own operations team, who receive each submission by email.
Our email delivery provider, Resend, which transmits those messages on our behalf.
Our appointed customs clearance agent, where your shipment needs a permit or declaration filed.
The airline, airport or warehouse handler involved in a specific collection or delivery, where they need the details to release or receive the cargo.
Government authorities where we are required by law to provide the information, such as Singapore Customs.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
5. How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become jobs are kept only as long as the enquiry is live in our inbox.
Account and shipment records are kept for as long as you are a client and afterwards for the period Singapore law requires records of a transaction to be retained, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
6. Storage on your own device
The onboarding wizard saves your part-completed answers in your browser's local storage (under the key "ns-logistics-onboarding:v1") so you can close the tab and come back to it. That copy stays on your device and is never sent to us until you submit the form. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Uploaded documents are deliberately never saved to local storage.
7. Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and how we have used it, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or withdraw your consent to our continued use of it.
Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide the service — we cannot collect cargo on your behalf without the authority to do so. We will tell you if that is the case before acting on the request.
We will respond to a request within a reasonable time. There is no charge for a correction request.
8. Security
Submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and delivered to a restricted internal mailbox. Uploads are checked for type and size before they are accepted.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data in a way that is likely to cause you significant harm, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission as the PDPA requires.
9. Changes to this notice
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page. The version in force is the one published here.
